Short stops on the way out helps to break the monotony. Examples are Badlands, Wall Drug, Mt Rushmore
We often include a tour and overnight at one of our ELCA colleges. This encourages youth to begin thinking about life after high school, choices they will have at that time, the uniqueness of places that focus on orientation, social development, opportunities for service, faith, and international study, and what they need to attend to now in order to maximize their options.
Overnighting in churches is also a unique experience of hospitality and the extent of our ELCA.
